The Tour du Rwanda Festival will begin this Monday, February 23, 2026, in Huye District, as part of the activities that accompany the ongoing cycling race. The concerts will take place in Huye, where riders will finish the second stage after cycling from Nyamata in Bugesera District.
The festival combines sport and entertainment, giving cycling fans a chance to relax after a long day of following the race. In the evening, supporters gather to enjoy live music, socialize, and celebrate the spirit of the competition. Over the years, these concerts have become an important part of the overall Tour du Rwanda experience.

This year’s performances will feature well known Rwandan artists such as Bushali, Bwiza, Kenny Sol, Ruti Joel, and Kivumbi King. Popular DJs, including DJ Marnaud and Tasha The DJ, will also entertain the crowd. The concerts are sponsored by Amstel.
Jean Claude Uhujimfura, Director of Kikac Music the company that organizes the festival said the concerts play a key role in keeping fans engaged. “After spending the whole day following the race, fans feel tired,” he said. “In the evening, they need a place to relax, enjoy music, and celebrate together. That is why these concerts are important.”
He added, “Tour du Rwanda attracts international teams and many visitors. The festival gives them more reasons to appreciate the event and the country.”
Ferwacy President Samson Ndayishimiye also emphasized the value of the concerts.
“We organize sports competitions, but sports alone are not enough,” he said.
“Cycling fans also need time to relax and have fun. These concerts help them feel that Tour du Rwanda is not only about competition, but also about unity and entertainment.” he added.
After Huye, the festival will continue in Rubavu on February 25 and 26, move to Musanze on February 27, and finally end in Kigali on March 1, 2026, the same day the race concludes.
