President Paul Kagame on Wednesday, September 3 received Prosper Zo’o Minto’o, Director General of the Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), who is in Rwanda for the upcoming Aviation Africa Summit 2025.
Their discussions focused on ASECNA’s role in improving aviation safety across its 19 member states and Rwanda’s leadership in using drone technology for health and economic benefits.
ASECNA, created in 1959 and headquartered in Dakar, Senegal, manages one of the world’s largest airspaces, covering over 16 million square kilometers.
Kigali will host the Aviation Africa Summit on September 4–5, bringing together aviation leaders, regulators, and innovators to discuss air transport growth, advanced air mobility, and infrastructure projects like Bugesera International Airport.
