Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, on Sunday, August 10, shared emotional vows with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, during their white wedding in Miami.

The wedding took place at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami, USA, a well-known venue for hosting famous and high-profile guests. Before the ceremony began, guests sang and danced to Davido’s songs, mixing modern music with traditional dance.

Davido arrived in a rare white Lamborghini Revuelto, which he said was a gift to himself for working hard. Shortly after, Chioma arrived in a beautiful white Rolls Royce, wearing a stunning white dress and carrying a handbag with a picture of their late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who died in an accident on October 1, 2022, at the age of three.

Davido’s vows spoke of love that had faced many challenges but had grown even stronger. He described how Chioma quietly entered his life and became its most beautiful and important part.

“This is the day I have been waiting for. I feel nervous and humbled. My love, you are my peace.,” Davido told his wife.

“You came into my life quietly and became the most important and beautiful part of it. God gave me you to show me what true love feels like. We’ve faced challenges and pain together, but we are still here. I promise to protect you,” he adds.

The wedding was attended by people from different backgrounds, close friends, family members, celebrities, wealthy businesspeople, and Davido’s work partners.

Some of the guests included his manager Asa Asika, his brother Bayo Adeleke, and music executive Ubi Franklin. Also present were comedian and businessman Obi Cubana, Nigerian dignitary Ademola Osun, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, and Bukola Saraki, the former President of Nigeria’s Senate.

Reports say the three pastors who officiated Davido’s wedding were the same ones who had married his father, Adedeji Adeleke, and his late mother, Veronica.

During the celebration, Davido surprised Chioma with an expensive Richard Mille watch worth $300,000 more than 400 million Rwandan francs.
